Create new tmux session in CentOS

To start a new session, we add new to the tmux command.

tmux new

Check for existing tmux session

To see if any existing sessions are running as your user, you can use has-session.

tmux has-session

List tmux sessions

Appending ls can list all the tmux sessions running as your user. 

tmux ls

Attach to an existing tmux session in CentOS

You can attach to a session with attach.

tmux attach

Detach from a tmux session

You can detatch a session with detach.

tmux detach

Tmux configuration files

Global tmux conf is found at:

/etc/tmux.conf

User specific configuration can be placed in

~/.tmux.conf

You can look at some tmux conf examples inside:
